The Emperor Haile Selassie I Memorial Foundation’s Friends in America (EHSIMFFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the legacy of His Imperial Majesty and particularly his goal of expanding higher-level educational opportunities for Ethiopians.
Our Mission
Our goal is to support the Emperor Haile Selassie I Memorial Foundation (EHSMF) in Ethiopia by providing funding for the scholarships the
Foundation grants to economically disadvantaged university students throughout Ethiopia.

Our History
In 2019, the Emperor Haile Selassie I Memorial Foundation's Friends in America (EHSIMFFA) was founded in consultation and with the
approval of the Emperor Haile Selassie Memorial Foundation (EHSIMF) in Ethiopia. Its sole purpose is to support the Foundation’s scholarship program for university students with a demonstrated financial need. EHSIMFFA is legally registered in the State of Virginia as a 501(c) not-for-profit organization. All donations to EHSMFFA are fully tax-deductible. EHSIMFFA is not affiliated with any political movement, party or government.
